Louisburg Holiday Event List

This little town I call home, Louisburg, KS is full of vibrant events, cozy shops, and the best people. Now, I may be biased, but I promise that I’m not exaggerating! I’d like you to come see for yourself :) I’ve rounded up some of my favorite holiday events in the area that should be on everyone’s to-do list.

Whether you’re in Kansas City and want an excuse to venture out and make an afternoon of Louisburg, or you’re in Louisburg and are looking for some family adventure or date ideas, this list was made with you in mind.

  1. Louisburg Cider Mill is the perfect pumpkin picking, cider drinking, holiday card photo shoot spot there is! From their legendary apple donuts and apple cider to their beautiful country setting, this Louisburg gem brings joy to kids and adults alike. On Saturday, November 8 they are hosting a Holiday Open House where you can shop for you unique gifts. And if you stay until 5:30 p.m., you’ll get to enjoy their 3rd Annual Tree Lighting!

  2. Louisburg Market Street hosts a wide variety of vendors who carry everything from art and music items to furniture. They’re throwing a special Winter Wonderland Holiday Event this weekend, November 6, 7, and 8 that you won’t want to miss!

  3. The Louisburg Thursday Late Night Shopping is ongoing every Thursday until December 3, from 5:00-8:00 p.m.! Inside of Simply Selah’s, you’ll find vendors selling all kinds of gorgeous gifts, from stocking stuffers to big ticket items by talented makers and artisans. This is one of the best opportunities to knock out some early Christmas shopping. Come support your local shops and spend a cozy evening with us!

  4. Louisburg’s Middle Creek Lake is a lovely spot for enjoying the fresh air and nature before the temperature drops! With a large doc to fish off of and grassy areas for hanging out or throwing a ball around, all you need to bring is good company and your favorite outdoor necessities like a picnic basket, blankets for layering and relaxing, and some fishing rods.

  5. The Plaza Lights in downtown KC is one of my favorite recommendations for family nights, celebrations, and dates. Not only do the lights make for gorgeous photo opportunities, they also fill your heart with that Christmas spirit.

Have you been to any of these events in the past? What are some of your favorite outings around town?
